A baby is the greatest gift that life could send you...
The most wonderful sound our ears can hear is the sound of a newborn baby.
Sometimes we're so concerned about giving our children what we never had growing up, we neglect to give them what we did have growing up.
There are three reasons for breast-feeding: the milk is always at the right temperature; it comes in attractive containers; and the cat can't get it.
,
A baby will make love stronger, days shorter, nights longer, bankroll smaller, home happier, clothes shabbier, the past forgotten, and the future worth living for.
,
Of all the rights of women, the greatest is to be a mother.
,
Making the decision to have a child is momentous. It is to decide forever to have your heart go walking around outside your body.
,
If you have never been hated by your child you have never been a parent.
,
The quickest way for a parent to get a child's attention is to sit down and look comfortable.

Before I was a Mom I never tripped over toys or the forgot words to a lullaby.
I didn't worry whether or not my plants were poisonous.
I never thought about immunizations.
Before I was a Mom - I had never been puked on.
Pooped on.
Chewed on.
Peed on.
I had complete control of my mind and my thoughts.
I slept all night.
Before I was a Mom I never held down a screaming child so doctors could do tests. ?
Or give shots.
I never looked into teary eyes and cried.
I never got gloriously happy over a simple grin.
I never sat up late hours at night watching a baby sleep.
Before I was a Mom I never held a sleeping baby just because I didn't want to put them down.
I never felt my heart break into a million pieces when I couldn't stop the hurt.
I never knew that something so small could affect my life so much.
I never knew that I could love someone so much.
I never knew I would love being a Mom.
Before I was a Mom - I didn't know the feeling of having my heart outside my body.
I didn't know how special it could feel to feed a hungry baby.
I didn't know that bond between a mother and her child.
I didn't know that something so small could make me feel so important and happy.
Before I was a Mom - I had never gotten up in the middle of the night every 10 minutes to make sure all was okay.
I had never known the warmth, the joy, the love, the heartache, the wonderment or the satisfaction of being a Mom.
I didn't know I was capable of feeling so much before I was a Mom.

Our first pregnancy is often a time of contemplation, quiet reflection on the creation of new life. As the belly expands, we begin to develop a perception of what it will be like to parent. As we feel the sweet stirring of life inside, we may have doubts, we may feel frightened and confused. With support and education we can make the right choices for ourselves and our expectant baby.
With subsequent pregnancies, it is harder to find the time to relax and reflect upon this process. Taking time for our growing baby is essential to mothers and fathers. We can develop stronger bonds; enable trust in the nourishing of our baby and in our bodies to give birth.
